I have been a adventure traveler for many years; hiking, backpacking, kayaking and camping. Then I got married, had a career as an RN, and eventually we had our son. Much of the former type of travel came to an end, my husband would rather sleep on a real bed each night, ha! So, I and we did A LOT of travel in an airplane. I took my son on his first flight at 2 months old - and he did great! I've always initiated, planned and lead our travel and when my son left home I added adventure back into my travel itinerary. But, that is not to say I don't love luxury travel. I guess it is fair to say that I enjoy a wide range of travel experiences.

Alongside my work with plants and travel, I founded Wander More Retreats, where I bring together my love for yoga, shamanism, plants and adventure to create transformative retreat experiences and my photography/videography skills. These retreats are designed to help women reconnect with themselves, find clarity, and embrace the next chapter of their lives through movement, nature, and deep self-exploration.
I have taught yoga for almost 30 years, the spiritual practice of yoga opened the door to Shamanism. Through this deep connection to nature and energy work, I was drawn to the healing power of plants. As a plant alchemist and founder of The Prairie Girl Flowers and Herbs, I create small-batch, handcrafted herbal remedies and botanical offerings inspired by the rhythms of the earth. Blending ancient wisdom with modern herbalism, my work is a reflection of my passion for holistic healing, sustainability, and the magic found in nature’s medicine.

Hi, I’m Darcy Neumann, the adventurer behind The Midlife Voyage! After years of balancing careers, family, and responsibilities, I found myself at a crossroads in midlife—wondering, "What’s next?" Instead of settling into routine, I chose to embrace adventure, new cultures, and the freedom to explore the world on my terms.
As a retreat leader, coach, and mentor, my own journey through midlife transformation shapes every experience I create. Travel has been my path to renewal, and I design retreats that go beyond relaxation—offering deep self-discovery, connection, and adventure. Unlike any other, my retreats blend intuitive guidance, meaningful travel, and powerful breakthroughs, creating a truly one-of-a-kind experience for midlife women ready to embrace their next chapter.
"Join me as I shake up midlife, one adventure at a time—ditching the rulebook, chasing transformation, and proving that the best years are happening right now. Follow along for bold destinations, deep reflections, and the kind of travel that changes everything."
Why I started this blog
Midlife isn’t a crisis—it’s a calling. After years of guiding women through transformative retreats and personal growth journeys, I realized there was a gap: a space where midlife women could find inspiration, real talk, and resources for making this chapter the most adventurous and fulfilling yet.
In a world that constantly demands more—more doing, more achieving, more pushing forward—many women are feeling the deep call to step away from the endless grind, slow down, and reconnect with themselves beyond the noise of daily life.
The Midlife Voyage isn’t just another travel blog—it’s a roadmap for women ready to break free from routine, embrace bold experiences, and rediscover themselves through travel and retreat. This blog will be your go-to space for wisdom, encouragement, and practical tools to help you step into your next adventure with confidence and clarity and bounding excitement!
